This is quite an interesting proposal, because Martin stopped making planes in 1960 and turned to missile and spacecraft production afterwards.

As the caption says, this was an attempt by Martin to to return to manned aircraft production after a break of several years. They were doing rather well in the missile business though, so this would have been a bit of a sideline.
