The Charles Marchetti company is developing a series of combined helicopter designs called heligiros, which are equipped with piston or turbine engines for propulsion in horizontal flight and a rotor with air nozzles at the blade tips, consuming only a small portion of the installed power. Takeoff takes place on an inclined trajectory, without a takeoff roll, after which the heligiro transitions to level flight. The following projects are being developed:
- The "Heligyro" Mi100 with a gross weight of 1,000 kg and a commercial weight of 450 kg. A commercial speed range of 35 to 175 km/h and a maximum range of 800 km.
- The "Heligyre Arme" Mi300, a two-seat military helicopter with a gross weight of 4,000 kg and powered by a SNECMA M45F turbofan engine. Maximum speed of 600 km/h, minimum speed of 60 km/h, and a range of 500 km.
- The "Aeromobile" Mi200 with two Rolls-Royce/Turbomeca RB.172 turbofan engines. It is a flying crane with a total weight of 10,000 kg, a payload capacity of 5,000 kg, and a range of 180 km.
- Mi210, a passenger helicopter with two M45F engines. Total weight is 13,500 kg, payload 4,000 kg (40 passengers), maximum speed 540 km/h, and a range of 500 km.
Mi600 with a single M45F engine and a total weight of 4,500 kg. This is a single-seat experimental helicopter with a three-bladed rotor of small diameter but high chord; in fast, level flight, this rotor is locked.
