Lockheed XH-51A

Topic name (= XH-51A) is misleading. The shown crane helicopter should use the same rigid rotor system as on the XH-51A.

Maybe just an artist's impression of a general concept without designation. On the other hand, after reading all the 'Related Temporary Design Designations' in Putnam's Lockheed Aircraft since 1913, Lockheed seems to be the company with the most designations worldwide ;D .

A video which fits better to the title of this topic.

Please notice the retractable skid landing gear shortly after take-off.

Unclear? ???

UNCLEAR???!!!!???

You certainly have some sense of humor, hesham, this is just USELESS!

Why not bury it in the HLH subject? I think I've seen it over there already.

You're right, I didn't read the caption correctly. So what do we call it?

Splendid.

Photo before last depicts the Model 286, a civilian demonstrator.

The XH-51A would have made a fantastic plastic model. Did anyone ever release it in some form or other?
