Kysor Frustrated Widow (aka Torpedo Plane)

Hoping that the following info on Clifford P. Kysor is not too off topic

Registered as N22C in 1949 and cancelled in 1955. has anybody got any info?

Are you sure it's 22C? I found a registry record for N33C, a "Frustrated Widow" model aircraft registered by Clifford Kysor in 1949 (see Deregistered aircraft 2 of 2 in the record below) That matches the registration number on the wings of the crashed plane with the very slender (and non-effective) tail surfaces that @fortrena posted. The tail vaguely resembles a torpedo in shape, which would explain the alternative name.

Two contemporary articles about the Kysor 'torpedo plane'; one written before ... and one written after.

Also, a better print of one of the press photos taken at the time. Watermarked, unfortunately, due to it being offered by an online seller.
