This auction is for a Kaiser-Fleetwings XBTK-1 desk model. This vintage model was made in house by Kaiser-Fleetwings in the 1940's for presentations and promotional purposes. This large model measures an impressive 20" wide and 15" long. The model is solid wood and it is in great shape for being 70+ years old. The model does have a few chips in the blue paint and the models removable bombs are missing. The model has an actual bearing mounted inside the nose to spin the large propeller freely. The model has a large threaded swivel mount, so the model can be displayed in various positions. The stand is wood with metal embedded inside it to give it the necessary weight to keep it from tipping over. The stands metal plaque reads " Kaiser Cargo Inc. - Fleetwings Division - Model XBTK-1."
