I removed the Hodgdon Ascender from your initial post, hesham, as well as the link (http://www.aerofiles.com/_h.html), since that flying car project was the work of Theodore A. Hodgdon from Detroit, Michigan, not John Hodgdon.

Apparently the wrong image has returned to the initial post for some unknown reason.
@hesham, the two Hodgdon projects were not related AT ALL.

I must confess project looks like escapee from 'Jules Verne' novel...

Of course, if most air-speeds were still in two figures {Imperial}...
 
Truss inside the rigid airship skeleton? Together that means the wings have support along more of the root...
