Japanese YX airliner projects

Hi,

the Japanese YX was civil transport aircraft,the Boeing company was
joined in development this project,three configuration were studied,
one was look like the MD DC-9,second was look like the Airbus A-300B
and the third had the engines over the wing.

Hi,

Just look at the strange wing model in the second image ...what was the conceptual modeler thinking ? Which Japanese company was trying to realize these models ? Shin Meiwa ? or Kawasaki ?
