Hi,

the Shin Meiwa KJT-1 was a side-by-side two seat low-wing basic jet trainer
monoplane Project of 1955,powered by two Marbore or Allison J33 turojet
engines and had estimated maximum speed of 478 mph.

in this contest,the main tenders were ;

- Fuji FJT-51
- Fuji FJT-21
- Mitsubishi JTM-1
- Kawasaki-Gifu KAT-2
- Shin Meija KJT-1 & KJT-2

and we spoke about the Mitsubishi proposal in anther topic,was there any drawing to anther contenders ?.

From FlightGlobal (Flight April 1, 1955) regarding the JTM-1

"Mitsubishi's only post-war design so far is the projected JTM-1 advanced trainer. This design, which has been submitted for consideration by the National Defence Agency as a standard basic trainer, has a swept wing, and the prototype would be powered by an American-built Continental Marbore turbojet. Production versions would have a 2,200 lb thrust turbojet of Japanese design—probably the JO-1."

According to Danish magazine FlyV (July 1955), the FJT-51 was supposed to have an "arrow" shaped planform with an Allison J33 engine; the Shin Meija KJT-1 with either an Allison J33 or two Marbore engines; and a Kawasaki KAT-2, which was similar to a Cessna T-37 with two Marbore engines.

The FJT-71, I presume, won the competition and entered service as the Fuji T-1.
