Is there any indication how the forward wing pivots? The drawing suggests that there may be a main spar forming the leading edge of the wing and that the whole of the wing aft of that is attached to and pivots on that main spar. Is there anything about this project in C.H.Barnes' monograph on Handley Page aircraft?

According to the article in Flight the front wing is fitted with HP slots, and those are what you can see on the drawing. It also suggests that the intention of the artist was to claim that the whole Pou-de-Ciel concept was in effect one giant HP slot. So not truly an HP project just a crude attempt to make a prior claim on the Pou concept.
