Hi,

the Italian Alessandro Guidoni designed in 1920s,a three engined channel-wing
flying boat project, but unfortunately no more info survivor, and I can't make the
drawing clear than this, and we can say,its wing looks like a channel shape.

Hi,

can anyone make a more clearance to this drawing from Guidoni ?.

Hesham, it's not a 'channel-wing', it's a gull-wing, it also appears that the 'V-ed' inner part
may have been intended to supply flotation like the high dihedral lower wing of the English
Electric Ayr flying boat and the later WWII period USN flying-boat gliders. The upper
right drawing appears to show the same principle applied to a tandem-wing design.

BTW much of Guidoni's work concerned perfecting the use of hydrofoils on seaplanes,
which is what the drawings in the left column show.
