Hi everybody

I have found a picture of a Panzer V “Panther” with 105mm Rocket Launcher made by Skoda.
Is there anything more known about that project ?

I have heard that there is also a “Panther” Project with a FÖHN Anti-Aircraft Rocketlauncher
Maybe here is a picture of it ?

I don’t know but the chassis of the second picture looks very like a Panther.
Are there any other German Rocket Launcher Tank Projects ?

Many greetings and thanks in advance

Although probably not, what you are looking for, the "Sturmtiger", Sturmpanzer
Tiger Ausf.E (Assaulttank Tiger, version E) had a rocket launcher, too, for
38cm rockets. But, of course, it wasn't AA and it wasn't just a project, as
18 examples were converted.

Interesting and some what simple system!
But the situation that Germany found itself at the time of introduction of the Panther Medium Tank, did not allow for the resources of the like of the Panther chassis to be used (and wasted on acting as a carriage of these 105mm rockets). Not when they could have had easily been carried by the likes of the older and obsolete types like the Panzer IV chassis.
For Germany needed every modern gun tank it could produce and some…….

Sadly the two last pictures have nothing to do with the Panther, nor with Germany. They actually show British unguided AA rockets - there was a scan of the original article with the pictures on the AWF forum.

(I only knew the PanzerIV)
There are resin kits made of the PzKpfw IV with Rheintochter R 3 F or a heavy long distance missile launchers - but I have no idea if they have anything to do with real plans. Do you think about them? There was yet a sole prototype of the PzKpfw IV armed with an armoured launcher for four 28/32 cm Wk artillery rockets.
One can't also forget the Borgward schwerer Ladungstraeger B IV Ausf. B and C's converted for tank hunters in 1945 by installing a block of six Panzerschreck launchers operated by a second crew member.

( the resin kits ) ( I dont no about them, but they look very fictional)
And a "special" one (SdKfz 251 with Calliope Rocket Launcher)

I think the Föhn/Panther Project is very mysterious !!
Here is another Picture from the Föhn Rocket Launcher

A video covering some surviving German Army documentation on the proper care, feeding and deployment of the SturmTiger...

Hi! I guess you mean the Skoda Kammerlafette rocket launcher. The first pic is from Yann Mahé / Laurent Tirone, "Wehrmacht 46", Vol.1, (2016), p. 145. The second and third pics are from W.J. Spielberger, "Der panzerkampfwagen Panther und seine Abarten" (1991), p. 228.
I never really understood why these medium rockets should be fired from a Panther. Especially in a time, when these tanks were badly needed. Every medium or heavy truck could do the same. But it seems this was the reason, why it was skipped. Panther Kammerlafette_01.jpg Panther Kammerlafette_02.jpg

The Sturmtiger was a very effective vehicle that was carefully sought out and destroyed. A technical report describes how such a large shell could be fired from a tank with a short barrel. Antiaircraft rockets were deployed. Putting them on a tank chassis was worthwhile in defense against the 'terror bombers.'
