This design could be found in "Der Flieger" 1960, too, where it was mentioned,
that Percival was the chosen company for the development.

Looks pretty much the stuff of "Imagination of the future from the past" to me...
 
.. and it probably should be regarded as that ! I read again the mentioned article from "Der Flieger".
Silver City had asked Bristol and Percival for designs following those ideas. If ever realised, they
certainly would have looked different from those sketches, that were just drawn to illustrate the
principle.
 
Do we have a dedicated paleofuture thread? I might have some pictures somewhere of those future of aviation articles.
