Hi all,

I have a starter list with all aircrafts of the European Flight 1929. I search for pics and other info about the french starter: Bourgois B, Albert TT.2, Guerchais-Henriot and Abrahams E.A.S.01. If you can help, please...

Thanks Maveric

Thanks toura,

I´m not shure, but this could be. In the list it´s only named Guerchais-Henriot. The T.2 is from 1928, what´s why I believe it´s right. Thanks

Maveric

Does the spelling "Henriot" with an "e" suggest that it could be a different person from the famed "Hanriot"? Or is it simply a typo on the part of the webmaster?

Hi maveric and stephane
Not 100% sure !
HENRIOT SURE with E
And now an otherthing .........perhaps

Side view of the Gerchais-Henriot with Anzani engine. In the text, the "concours des avions de tourisme" (European Flight) is mentioned.

Bonjour
In Flugsport :
" Nicht zum Wettbewerb erschienen sind angemedelten Neukonstruktionen " :
- Soldenhoff LF 6
- Guritzer-van Nes A II
- Simmons Spartan
- Autogiro C 19
- Bloudek XV
- Caproni CA 100
- Muniz M 5
- Albert TT 2
- Bourgois

According to this list, the Guerchais contender in this race was most probably the T.5, not the T.2 (which was a lightweight economical aircraft entered in a French contest):

This was the "Iris II", do you know also a pic of the Abrahams E.A.S.01 "Iris"?

Here is an extract from Les Ailes 29/5/1930.

Just a detail about the French entry E8 "Caudron" from the "Club Aéronautique Universitaire":
This was the Caudron C.113 F-AIUC piloted by Fauvel & Ducout.
The aircraft had to perform an emergency landing between Geneve and Lyon due to engine failure.
Charles Fauvel, known for his tailless gliders, was also participating to the 1930 Challenge on the Mauboussin Type XI n°2 with Jean de Permangle.

According to this list, the Guerchais contender in this race was most probably the T.5, not the T.2 (which was a lightweight economical aircraft entered in a French contest):
In the "Circuit européen des avions de tourisme_Revanche et désillusions" by Harm Hazewinkel published in the Fana (n°477 and after), the list for the Aéro-Club de France entries mentions indeed, the Guechais-Hentiot T5.
Also, one of the entries "E1 to E3 - Bourgois B" in the "Jet & Prop 2010" list has switched to "E1 - Bourgeois BT-20" (pilot: Ed Deckert) and is described in the text as "Tandem 2-seat with low wing and engine Michel AM-14".
