Good point. I was thinking more of the German team involved in the Typhoon FCS, but the UK had flown EAP to 35 degrees AOA without any apparent issues…Actually, I may be biased, but it's difficult to think of a team that was more qualified. At the time FBW control of an actively unstable aircraft was a new technology and teams with experience were in short supply. Typhoon was the third FBW/unstable FCS developed by BAE Systems Rochester* (after ACT Jaguar and EAP)
…what do you think explains that Typhoon had AoA issues where EAP didn’t ?
