Just to add to the overall story......
The Skytrader Scout was a light transport aircraft ordered by the Department of Defence as UV-23A for sales to foreign military powers. Other sources have suggested that it was to be used by the US Army for intelligence gathering and reconnaissance.
The Scout was a development of the Skytrader 800 which had first flown on 21 April 1975. It was not proceeded with.

A compilation of period articles on:
  • The Dominion Skytrader 800
  • The Skytrader Scout / UV-23
  • The Skytrader 1400 Commuterliner
... plus an item on planned avionics and another one on the company's filing for reorganization under Chapter 11.
