AI locates and designates targets then sends all data to available strike platforms. Human operator approves target imagery before any attack. This test put the autonomous ISR package into an F-16 but it would actually be a drone and the drone might be armed if the AI package isn't too big. With cross domain combat, the strike platform might also be an armed land robot. Human approval would then come from a remote command center.

The shrinking defense industrial base. The United States and its allies will face fewer choices in 2030 for major weapon systems and a diminished capacity to ramp up production that might be needed for a major conflict. Causes include fewer prime contractors, less resiliency and redundancy among "warm" production lines and types of aircraft and other major equipment in production, rising technological complexity of weapons systems, and less high-skill engineering and technological expertise in the industrial manufacturing labor market.

Gyrene tuffs are assigned to "information advantage". Is that short for they are not assigned to do anything? Marginally survivable aircraft and even muntions/missiles justifies leading the USAF Joint Fires? The Navy lacking a ship plan and global logistics ship plan, and they are not assigned to logistics but the Army is. The Army should lead Joint Fires ie the Strategicc Long Range Cannon (SLRC). Many other programs are making less and less sense.

Notwithstanding my feeling about our eroding nuclear deterrent in terms of conventional deterrence, having 400-500 F-22s would have been nice. Thats why the B-21 and PCA must be built in high numbers.

Imagine trying to plan a counter to hundreds of B-21s carrying 20+ ARRW or conventional LRSO/JASSM-ERs supported by a very long range 6th generation stealth fighter?

Do you means HAWCs? The ARRW is probably around 7,300 pounds, which is what the F-15X can carry in its center.

AI beats human 5 to 0 in simulated dogfights. F-16's used by both and g limits raised to 9. Kill is gun only.
