WHAT is that on the right? obviously a CCA, but on a completely new planform. I don't recall any similar project study.
Because they're mockups. They've displayed tube-launched missiles like this before. Low-fidelity mockup, showing basic layout but lacking in detail. Why would the fins be fixed?

In CGTN livestream they said it is ship based laser system. And it was on the parade section that feature naval weapon system.
The HQ-29 space defence system capable of taking down foreign satellites was displayed for the first time at the parade in a prominent display of aerial power.

Multi-phase, multi-layer missile interception. To defend against helicopters, aircraft, and missiles at long, medium, and short ranges, providing 24/7 readiness to counter aerial and space threats, forming a solid defensive shield over national airspace.
Not really if you are sending messagesStill find it odd China labels the missiles in western characters.
At least if they were labelled in Chinese characters China could argue its for domestic consumption, and its not going to derail Western analysts at all as they can simply transliterate the characters (unless its for Fox News/CNN "analysts").Not really if you are sending messages
In fact, selecting individuals who meet the combined height and weight requirements from millions of people is a straightforward task. Choosing participants of the same height and weight for training has many advantages, one of which is the convenience of training, while another is the visual appeal of the formation. If you are a Westerner, you may find that their facial features appear similar, which is a normal perception, just as we Easterners see similarities among Westerners' facial structures. Additionally, due to the uniform clothing, it can indeed be difficult to discern their differences from a distance; however, upon closer inspection, their appearances, in our view, are distinctly different.I cannot recall any labels on missiles when there were parades in Red Square, especially during the Cold War.
Personally, the amount of equipment displayed was a bit underwhelming, possibly due to those early "leaks" that can be found over the Internet leading to the parade, thus the "awe" factor is not there anymore.
I am more impressed by the contingents of troops .... all of them are of the same height, similar facial features, and I don't think anyone of them wore spectacles ..... it is something if you can mass produce hardware and equipment to the same specifications, but it is something else when everyone looks so "uniform" .... and that is scary .....
Probably not ready for its public debut yet.No Chinese Peacekeeper ICBM :-(
Gives one Fallout universe vibes.
100%JL-1 likely put Alaska and Hawaii in range.
We are entering icbm range with this.JL-1 should atleast have a range of 5000km as the commentary described it as a "Long range missile" which is anywhere from 5000km to 8000km.
The official definition of "Long ranged missile" for the PLA is 5000-8000km.We are entering icbm range with this.
When I hear long range, i normally assume 1000km or more than that.
Ironically the Army who were big time on SOF-lization and full spectrum overmatch (still is) is now resorting back to joint warfare to compensate... and the PLAGF is literally the opposite, but I guess with a sprinkle of both.
