This design is mentioned i Aviation Week 2/1966 too, but it's stated, that it is
based on the Chinook (which it resembles more, I think). ???

Dear Boys and Girls, here is a small feature with a caption in French on Boeing-Vertol's plans for stretched/enlarged commercial Chinook derivatives; both remained "projects"......

The Boeing-Vertol BV.157B - a 55 seater powered by two rear-mounted Pratt & Whitney JTFD-12 turboshafts for availability in 1968......

The Boeing-Vertol BV.167 - a 72 seater powered by three forward-mounted Lycoming T-55-L11 turboshafts for availability in 1969......

The feature comes from the 15th April 1966 issue of Aviation Magazine International......
