These I found in an olf (L'ala d'Italia) Italian magazine from 1950. First is a turboprop version of the Stratocruiser. Data are: max weight 75 metric tons; payload 10 metric tons; passengers 73-87, wing span 43 m, fuel load 34000 liters; cruise speed 580 km/h; engines were to be 4 T-40 turboprops. Same magazine stated that Boeing was thinkig of a jet augmented Stratocruiser (two jets). Data for this version: max weight 69-75 metric tons; payload 8.4 metric tons; passengers 61-75; span, fuel load and cruise speed same as the turboprop version.
Second projects is a Lockeed design for a pure jet trasport Data are: max weight 68 metric tons; passenger 40-50; cruise speed at 12000 m 850 km/h; range 5600 KM. Any more info on these two (expecially the Lockeed one)?

Well done Boxkite ;)

mmm..A lot of information about Model 367 variants but I can't find the exact number for this Model 377 iteration :(

I remember Boeing devising an early jet airliner design in 1949, but I didn't know Lockheed was working on a jet airliner design before the Boeing 707 came into being.

where can I find more info on the L-145 as I'm curious about Lockheed failed jet transports (especially post war) instead of turboprops? thanks
