Hi,

the Bell Model-442 was twin-turboshaft medium weight helicopter
project,with four blade main rotor and hydraulically retractable
landing gear,powered by two Allison/AlliedSingal CTS800 or MTU/
Turbomeca/Rolls Royce MTR 390 turboshfts,intended as Bell 412
successor but no production contract was ordered.

Programme
In design definition stage from spring 1993; same weight class as Bell 412; four-blade main rotor; powered by two HTEC CTS800 or MTU/Turbomeca/Rolls-Royce MTR 390 turboshafts; hydraulically retractable tricycle landing gear. Was intended as Bell 412 successor, but now succeeded by upgrade Model 412+ programme.
