Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the Avro 748-E turboprop airliner "project" which featured a fuselage 6ft longer than that of the standard production Avro 748. It remained a "project"......

From the outset Avro considered possible developments of the basic 748. The 748E was a stretched Series 2 with seating for up to 52 passengers and range reduced by 200
miles. The 10/E would have had more powerful Dart 10 engines to give improved payload/range, while the even longer (by 6ft, or 2.74m) Super E might have competed with the Japanese NAMC YS-11.
