Source Wikipedia: In the 1960s, Aviation Traders attempted to develop an improved Carvair, based on Douglas DC-6 or Douglas DC-7, which are enlarged and improved versions of the DC-4. This successor would have been pressurized, to be able to fly at higher altitude and perform longer flights; moreover, its engines would eventually have been replaced by turboprops. This project remains without follow-up.
