Hi everyone, I am working on compiling some information on the US Army Air Force, and US Air Force's Project Thunderstorm (1946-1949) and the All Weather Flying Center. I am working on building a list of aircraft that served as part of the project, and intend to draw all of them as part of my Aviation Pixel Art. Here is what I have seen photos or profiles of so far:

I have always liked these markings!

This is fairly sketchy (from a photo), some of the tail numbers are unclear; you may be able to suss them out further.

My Dad, Capt. Henry J "Hank" Raschke was a pilot at the All Weather Flying Center. He flew in stacks of 4 P-61 Black Widows through some incredible weather. What kind of research have you unearthed? I have an approx 16 page booklet about the Project from 1949. Ron Raschke

You'll want to add Pratt-Read TG-32 gliders to your list as they were used when the program was based at Pinecastle AAFB in 1946. From what I have in the Matt Rodina Collection, this program is the only time that the USAAF used the Pratt-Read, the gliders having been passed onto the USAAF from the Navy during the war but never used for glider training.

I have not come across TG-2s being used - where did you find that?

Thanks! Now I want to find actual photos of the TG-2 - would be nice to add to the Vintage Sailplane Association's archives.

I'll dig up the TG-32 photos and post. Depending how deep into the weeds you want to go, there are a few images that include the towplane.
