Not sure how they achieve a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions with just some drag reduction and a hybrid power train. Hybrid won’t help that much in cruise mode (this isn’t like a car stopping & starting in rush hour traffic).
And unlike a car some of the emissions gains will be offset by the weight gain from the bigger batteries and more complex powertrain.
P.S. Perhaps they are comparing a single engine hybrid to a 2-engine light helo like the H135, with the argument that hybrid’s safety advantages make single-engine helos more attractive once again… but that would be a stretch.
