France and Italy ordered 700 Aster missiles in December 2022.
MBDA missile production was up 33% vs 2023 last year and this year will reach 100% up on 2023, they are ahead of schedule to raise 2022 Aster production 50% by 2026 and in 2024 they quadrupled Mistral missile production ahead of the 2025 target (from 20 to 80 missiles per month). The company is investing €2.4 billion to increase manufacturing capacity with 2,500 new hires last year and 2,600 new hires this year taking their workforce to 18,000 (a 40% increase).
