Compact Holographic 3D Radar

The world's fastest radar used to track ground threats and drone swarms.

Volumetric Persistent Radar

Floodlight (Holographic Radar) vs Flashlight (ESA) Method

Security teams can now ditch the "flashlight" approach of legacy Electronically Scanned Arrays (ESA) radars to perimeter defense. The GAX500-3D, the world’s very first Compact Holographic 3D radar (CH3D), effectively acts as a floodlight with 100% time-on-target.
Operating at a full 18 Hz, the GAX500-3D updates on all 50 targets within its 90°x90° field of view every 56 milliseconds. This is 32x faster than the nearest alternative. Unlike legacy ESA systems that suffer a 1.8-second "blink" during scans, this technology ensures drone swarms have nowhere to hide.

Jammed??

What about this approach: When troops (or vehicles) need to relocate/move so they are more open to attack - a mass of defensive fpv drones (or AI assisted swarm drones) are moving with them....
That is just air superiority, scaled differently. All the lessons of air ops can be applied here.

Forward staging and refueling stations to fuel interceptors is something to be worked out.

The really tricky part is the situation awareness and coordination, as when two swarms merge under heavy EW it gets extremely chaotic, especially when the opponent brings their own interceptor drones to clear a path for ground attackers.

Some high performance aircraft with powerful radar for battle management is likely easier to work with than trying to piece together a picture out of very poor sensors of a swarm, though such singular point of failure is obviously not robust.

Quite obvious choice .

A mechanism for private companies to acquire large-caliber weapons has been approved. The list of approved acquisitions includes anti-aircraft artillery , various turrets, radar and electronic warfare systems, and specialized vehicles. All purchased equipment will be used to equip mobile groups tasked with protecting targets from Ukrainian drones , according to RBC .''

Some say that it is impossible to defend a person from drones, who knows, maybe in the future someone will figure out how to detect drones, after all, everything else is easy. Some say that drones are a weapon of the weak against the strong, but in the end, they completely changed the war, now no one is safe anywhere.
small caliber for small drones.
4 such m2 machine guns of 22 caliber for greater success in overthrowing

In other words, the Russian Military/Government can’t guarantee defence but is happy for businesses to invest themselves…

Is happy for private businesses (who are losing money as a result of the war) to arm themselves... like Prigozhin did... at a time when deepstate occupation statistics just ticked backwards to 19.35% after 3 weeks at 19.36%... LOLZ.

Yes coverage of wast spaces is lacking, most of these companies that run rafineries could afford to buy their own and in the past they were limited to having a dude with a jammer. But when you read it in detail it sounds more like Businesses can pay to equip territorial units aka National Guard to form dedicated mobile ad groups. Does not sound like Gazprom will field own PMCs

But west is even worse off you could fly drones across Europe or US and there is nothing that could stop them , there is no organic AD in most countries ,all western AD combined is tiny fraction of what Russia fields and much of it is in Ukraine . as we see Russian AD strugling with drones, we can see same in ME ,no protection from Iran that has like 1/10th of Ukrainian defense budget and less than 1:100of US and Israeli budgets. Besides look at the Lebanon right now IDF learned nothing for Ukraine , outcomes for western militaries facing drones would be even worse so there is hardly anything to gloat about.

I imagine its much mor effective to use dazzle camo on decoys than actual moving logistics trucks.

They've been pretty much relegated from their traditional role to drone defence.

I don't think that's what he meant. IMO, helos are going to be hopelessly vulnerable to these fast battery electric interceptors. Even some slower jets like the A-10 will be vulnerable, and so will airliners on landing approach.

I'm pretty sure it has happened already.

The real question is when it becomes mature enough to be part of the force structure, and that it gets political acceptable to announce that the human is out of the loop.
The human is still in the loop to some extent, since they direct the drones to the target area and watch as they operate.

Impresive.
https://defence-blog.com/ukraine-crosses-new-line-drones-kill-shaheds-on-autopilot/

"The operator selects a target from a real-time display of moving threats and issues a strike command. From that point, the system guides the interceptor drone to the target autonomously, recognizes the Shahed independently, and homes in without further human input. The developer went from prototype to successful combat use in under a year, supported by the Brave1 program, which connects Ukrainian defense startups with military end users, government funding, and accelerated testing pathways."

As in the First World War, first reconnaissance planes appeared, then bombers appeared, and finally fighter planes appeared. So with drones it's the same evolution
Yes, I've been expecting this for a while.

A possible weapon for personal antidrone use is the interesting Mag-7 from south africa.
Those shells are longer than Aguila minishells or Federal shorties. And the Mag7s don't like running on Aguila minis, the shell is too short.

But it'd absolutely be viable to build a PDW around Federal shorties. Punishing recoil, however, since the Federal Shorties have the full power of a 2 3/4" max load shell, 1oz of shot or 1oz slugs at 1200ish fps.
