That array looks pretty small for BMD.
A 3m x 3m GaN array is a respectable capability for a system designed to detect and track battlefield SRBMs and IRBMs. It's not meant to track ICBMs, except when they're in their terminal phase. It's aimed at situations more like the Iran conflict.

That looks a damn sight smaller than 3m x 3m.
 
Not even perspective. It's not much bigger than a wheel in that picture. I wonder how representative of the proposal it actually is.
Yeah,the proportions are all crazy,I especially liked the door handle right at the bottom of the door.;)
 
The HEMTT is 3 m tall;
the radar panel looks about half even at 45° angle it could only be 41% more.
So yeah a bit to untrusworthy.

At its core, the system features a 3-square-meter (32.3-square-foot) active aperture that can be networked with additional units to deliver what the company describes as an “all-seeing” capability.
So apparently they propose to use several such radars connected into digital network. Several small antennas doing the job on the bigger one.
 
Looks like they are trying hard to invent a category that already exists. Its not like we haven't developed, tested, and even integrated with current TBM defeat missiles, highly mobile X band AESA arrays capable of providing fire control against TBM threats.

Yes that is broadly what the TPY-2 upgrade effort is looking at. But that merely removes gaps, not magically extend the range and distance and altitudes that can be covered. You still need to functionally replace the TPY-2 across its both modes.
