Hello, i would like to learn more about ww1 or ww2 monitors that were prototype or never left the drawing board, river monitors or sea worthy monitors are what im looking for. If possible can you provide pictures or documents please (this is my first post here and i would like to learn more about these kind of warships).

Which navy you are interested in?
In a couple of days I can make a list of designs, but drawings are very rare.

Any navy i dont mind at all, i dont mind if there are no any drawings and a list is fine.

Was it Brazil that had / has a littoral 'Vest-Pocket Battle-Cruiser' that almost qualifies as a 'Monitor' ??

Those are some odd designs. 11kph? Also, only 5x secondary guns? Total?

Speed is a lot more reasonable here (if only to be able to hold position in and even move against either strong currents or river channels), but I'm still confused by the 5 secondary guns. I'm assuming 4 guns in casemate and 1 on a pedestal?

Do you have any sketches or Shipbucket illustrations?

Those are some odd designs. 11kph? Also, only 5x secondary guns? Total?

Speed is a lot more reasonable here (if only to be able to hold position in and even move against either strong currents or river channels), but I'm still confused by the 5 secondary guns. I'm assuming 4 guns in casemate and 1 on a pedestal?

Do you have any sketches or Shipbucket illustrations?

11km for coastal seems adequate, the WW1 Abercrombie had 13km/h, the Lord Clive 12km/h and the Marshal Ney 11km/h maximum speed.

No the 5 guns were all in casemates with the 5th one on the centreline aft like on contemporary battleships:
USS Texas for example:

Hello i would like to know more about these russian river monitors like the Khasan-class (Project 1190), Udarnyy river monitor (Project SB-12) and any similar projects.

Khasan-class river monitor (Project 1190)

The "Khasan"-class ships were developed for the protection of lower Amur river & Tatar Strait. Initially, something akin to the Swedish coastal defense battleships was envisioned - a warship with one or two large-caliber guns - but such ship was deemed to be too large and suboptimal for river warfare. So the concept was re-worked toward more traditional river monitor, with limited seakeeping ability:

The original design was:
* Displacement 1620 tons
* Draught 2,7 meters
* Speed up to 15 knots
* Limited icebreaking capability
* Armor from 4 mm up to 100 mm
* Four dual turrets with 130-mm guns
* Six dual 45-mm dual-purpose turrets
* Recon seaplane and crane for it

During the designing process, however, the original design was deemed as too heavy, and likely not able to fulfill the draught demands (which was unacceptable, since monitors were supposed to operate on rivers). So the design was re-worked: superfiring "X" main turret was removed and replaced with a pair of dual 76-mm DP turrets, aircraft equipment was eliminated, minelaying rails were added on stern.

The construction, despite being started in 1936, dragged till 1942 (due to Far East shipbuilding industry being relatively newly-established and lacking experience, as well as war disrupting supply chains). Hull sections were made in Sormovo (near Nijny Novgorod) and then railroaded to Khabarovsk for accembly. As completed, monitors were:

* 1920 tons displacement
* 2,9 meters draught
* 15,4 knots max speed
* Armed with six 130-mm guns in three dual turrets (superfiring), with a central director equipped with two 4-meters rangefinders on top of superstructure
* Two dual-purpose 76-mm turrets were installed on the former "X" turret position, with stabilized anti-air director on the rear superstructure
* The light AA armament consisted of two 45-mm dual turrets and four machinegun dual turrets, linked to another anti-air director
* Armor belt was from 37.5 mm to 76 mm, deck from 25 to 40 mm, main turrets protected with 40-100 mm armor

The actual armament of the monitors was somewhat... complicated. The initial project assumed use of B-2-LM turrets, the same as on new destroyers. But those turrets were deemed a bit heavy for monitors, so the new turret B-28 was developed. But B-28 turrets were build in Leningrad only, and when the city was blockaded, the delivery stopped. Only "Khasan" got three B-28 turrets; the "Perekop" was armed temporarely with single-barrel B-13 shield mounts, and "Sivash" got B-2-LM mounts. In 1946, "Perekop" was also re-armed on B-2-LM mounts:

(the Perekop with single shield mounts)

All three ships protected the Amur river estuary, and did not participate in Soviet-Japanese War of 1945 (there are rumors that they were planned to be used to Hokkaido landing - they were supposed to move along Sakhalin coast - but only rumors). By 1950s those monitors were viewed as obsolete and more or less pointless - the Amur river defense was deemed as not important anymore, since China was friendly and Japan was eliminated as threat - so in 1951-1953 they were decommissioned and in 1960s scrapped.
