"Fire in the laundry" was one of the most common fire drills we ran.

Clean your lint filters!!!!

The B-1s are planned to carry the 5000-lb GBU-72 externally on the new Load Adaptable Modular or LAM pylons.

Guess the 5ks don't fit into the weapons bay then.

According to US Central Command, a USAF Boeing KC-135 was lost over Iraq.

Sky News has a video about this:

A US refuelling plane has been lost during military operations against Iran, US Central Command has said.
The craft is understood to have come down over western Iraq.
"US Central Command is aware of the loss of a US KC-135 refuelling aircraft," a statement said.
"The incident occurred in friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury, and rescue efforts are ongoing. Two aircraft were involved in the incident. One of the aircraft went down in western Iraq, and the second landed safely. "This was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire."

Given that the KC-135's loss wasn't attributed hostile or friendly fire I wouldn't be surprised at all if it crashed due to an inflight breakup due to age-related structural fatigue as these tankers are OLD.

Edit: From what I've subsequently learned in the news reports the crash was clearly due to a mid-air collision.

Suchomimus has out a short video confirming the destruction of more of the IRIAF's remaining legacy pre-revolution US aircraft and a Russian Il-76 Mainstay:

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has published footage of strikes recently on Iranian fixed-wing aircraft at Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani Airport in Kerman, Southeastern Iran, with the video showing the destruction of an American-provided C-130H Hercules and P-3F Orion, as well as a Russian-provided Ilyushin Il-76.

According to US Central Command, four of the six crew members aboard the aircraft have been confirmed dead as rescue operations continue. The incident remains under investigation, but the loss of the aircraft was not the result of hostile or friendly fire.
[...]
All six crew members have been confirmed dead. :(
Rest in peace to the crew, and my heartfelt wishes go out to their families and friends. My deepest respect to the Airmen, Rangers, or Marines who recovered the bodies and brought them back to their loved ones in the USA.

That strongly implies that his injuries are far worse than the Iranians are letting on.

On another note Suchomimus has a video out about the aerial collision between two KC-135Rs:

A pair of USAF KC--135 tanker aircraft collided during operations during Operation Epic Fury. One returned to Tel Aviv with a damaged tail. The other crashed in Iraq.

Hopefully that idiotic 2008 order to remove parachutes from KC-135 and C-17 aircraft will be rescinded (The fool responsible for this order should be court-martialled).
