Do we happen to know how many novi avions yugoslavia was planning to buy (you know before the country blew up)?

somewhere up to 250 aircraft if all aircraft from Orao-2 to Mig-29 and Mig-21 were replaced by 2010 year if there was a SFRY. Potential buyers are reportedly Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan and India, of course, if either the French or the Americans allow it, because the radar was supposed to be a weaker version of the Mirage 2000, while the engine was supposed to be American. The weapons on new aircraft were to be French or American.

Novi Avion was designed around a French engine - Snecma M88. But yes, France would be a potential export restricter though less so than the U.S.
