I thought it would be fun to show a size comparison of various main vehicles from UFO. As with the previous artwork posted on this thread, I only updated the artwork and created this chart. The dimensions were calculated from that of the actual filming miniatures and the scale they were built. Any questions were verified by screenshots, and trusted material.

I never realized (well, as a somewhat distracted teenager at the time...) that the UFOs scaled out to different sizes!

Neither did I, until rewatching the series. The defunct Eagle Transporter Forum had a thread that discussed the UFOs. We came to an agreement that the size of the crew dictated the size of the craft, from what was seen in the series.

That has been discussed by fans for decades. Many of the blueprints were destroyed after filming or in private hands. The next best thing was the photographs taken of the vehicles (front, side, bottom, etc) prior to filming. This book is highly prized by collectors as it has the majority of them in one volume. Photos of the models taken during production and how they look today utilizing the actual negatives/ transparencies. Many of the blueprints you see today are fan-made with various degrees of accuracy.

For me it would not be a problem to draw the models to scale, I was a 1/72 scratch modeler for twenty years and I know the angles. The problem for any initiative is always copyright. For nearly three decades, Moulinsart's lawyers have prevented the publication of dozens of works on Tintin, including one of my books.

I guess any aircraft that appeared in a Gerry Anderson series could be on this thread. I decided to show one of the more obscure aircraft from the TV series UFO. That is Ventura Aircraft Corporation’s XV-104 experimental jet as seen in the episode “Exposed.” Not much is seen of the craft, in fact the desk model that appears in a later scene gives more detail. However, some fans have said, if the XV-104 is a jet, where is the air intake? Because the large size model is partly in shadow, a little Photoshop fixed that. The air intake is above the cockpit as seen from this top view (see yellow arrow). There is hardly any art that shows the jet in a clear view. After a lot of research, here it is, at least in profile.

Underwing inlets would also be a possibility, since the slot above/behind the cockpit seems awfully small. But then again, the whole design seems oddly misproportioned. I still remember watching the episode as an impressionable kid though...

I suspect it was a “throwaway” design for the episode. The aircraft had recon cameras which I theorize was in the nose. As a kid, the front of the XV-104 and its large tail caught my eye.
Compared to other Anderson shows, there wasn’t much technical stuff released on UFO. Things were mentioned, but not explained or shown. I tried to correct that on the Eagle Transporter Forum.

Many were off the shelf (Matchbox and Corgi diecast, Plastic kits) but others were made either by the Studio modelmakers or professional firms like Space Models.
Being a longstanding nerd/geek I was more interested in the guest stuff than the star vehicles.
The Internet has had many sites covering the vehicles but as so often they tend to vanish too.
Publications on Anderson series tend to focus on the star vehicles rather than the guest stuff. Screen captures are now much easier so more has appeared in recent years.
In addition to the TV shows a number of childrens' comics like TV21 generated artwork of guest vehicles.
