I think there was also a fair amount of commonality/ overlap with Romania’s Lancer upgrade program (Israeli firms were Romania’s partners on that).The IAI MiG-21-2000 flew in th late 1990s, and was purchased by countries like Uganda.

I do not think the canopy is a new one,the new item is windscreenMig 21 demonstrator at IAI - served as an engineering tool and as a demonstrator for visitors to IAI. Note the new canopy.View attachment 679698
