Thanks for the underside view of the model. The fitting is similar to the F-111B that the
model was based on the type of missile carried by that plane which after all was the only
other fighter in 1964 being offered to the 583 requirement and influenced competitors.
A Hughes missile as eveything looks similar to Phoenix apart from the forward vanes. None of the
BSP 4 British aams llok remotely similar. In any case at the time this model was made they would not have been the type standard. Hughes were the main source of such missiles in 1964 (apart from Sparrow).
