I seriously doubt it. The US is currently restructuring and rebuilding their conventional forces in anticipation to match the PLA in their own backyard. Going to war with Iran would seriously degrade US capabilities, would undermine their restructuring process and it would be politically very unpopular with the larger population. Given that Americans would get fatigue rather quickly, especially when the first body bags come home. Also DJT ran and continues to run on a platform that rejects the idea of intervention in foreign conflicts. He seeks to get a deal out of Iran through Russia, which in turn would see some favor of some sort. IIRC Trump and Putin discussed Iran in a recent call. And with Irans recent purchase of Russian aircraft among other things and an otherwise growing cooperation there is some leverage there.
If that wouldn't come to fruition I'd argue that the US would limit itself to some strike against some facility, call it a day and the media moves on. While the Israelis continue their proxy war against Iran as it has been the case for decades now. A full scale US-Iran War isn't in the interest of the US, Iran or Russia, one could argue it's not even in the interest of Israel (who would be the only one gaining something out of it) as they would most likely find themselves at the receiving end of ballistic missile, drone and sabotage attacks. The former two having proven to be something they cannot fully defend themselves against, despite a robust air defense umbrella.
So yeah, I doubt the US and Iran will enter a full scale war any time soon. The benefits aren't there.
