Hi friends,
I found this shot, taken at Farnborough circa 1986 with an M998 Hummer outdoor of the LTV Aerospace and Defense stand. In fact, the 1.1/4 ton 4x4 HMMWV was built by AM General Division then controlled by LTV. The following day I was invited at Salisbury for a short ride on the truck...

My late father was invited by the LTV rep. (a fellow engineer) at Farnborough to test drive the Humvee during one of the trade days. I recall he was impressed at the engine accessibility (although the vehicle seemed a bit large for a 'jeep' and more akin to a small truck) the acceleration and speed on grass and tarmac also being of note.
