What kind of engine is this?

I've seen this on several home made "vehicles" now. It appears to be some kind of pulsejet but there are no moving parts as far as I know.

Pulsejets don't have moving parts so I would say that.

Apparently some have valves, some don't. For instance the pulsejet on the V-1 was valved.

With its bent intake it reminds me very much on the
SNECMA Escopette, a valveless pulsejet tested in 1950
with a modified Arsenal SA.103 glider.

Can you imagine driving that thing to work? It'd definitely give the homies with their idiotic subwoofers a run for their money. On the other hand it'd probably have them swapping out the coffe cans on their exhaust pipes for pulsejets.
