This is not for Invasion of Taiwan, since the Troops are moving to capital Beijing
But why ?
rumor goes that recently removal of 9 generals let to Internal conflict between CP and Chinese People Army
it could be that internal dispute in Communist Party let to rift, between CP part that Control the Military and Leadership of Xi Jinping ?
How ever that massive deployment is too much for that kind action.

Or is Xi Jinping play the card "War to distract the People from our internal Problem" ?

A few guidelines my grandfather had when reading anything about China (he went through the cultural revolution):

1. Anything that China tells it's own citizens - the opposite is usually true

2. Anything that China wants to show the world - is usually what it wants you to see, but not always how things are (for better or for worse this goes both ways).

3. Actions speak louder than words.

To append to this - keep in mind that China is ran by highly pragmatic and capable people even if we do not like said government. They not only have agency to remedy the problems that befall it, but also not blunder itself into a war unless it's the last resort. After all - why would you spill blood and lose money when there are far less costly ways of achieving your goal here?

So unless something truly status quo changing happens in Taiwan, that invasion force might as well spend the next 50 years infinitely approaching but never quite reaching the point of invasion.

When you say China you mean the Chinese government right? Because when the first clear images on J-36, J-XDS, and even back then with the J-20. Many people were saying China, the entire entity of China wants to show the world how advanced China is so it showed off it's demonstrators, it allowed the videos to spread.

I think it's not quite like this, the Chinese government does not have a maximal leash on every single thing on the Chinese internet. It does not control everything that goes on the Chinese internet and what eventually appears on the Western internet. Yes they enforce rules pertaining to how and what may be posted, but I doubt the popular Chinese social media have enforcers that are fast enough to prevent over zealous aero fans from posting straight secretive shit onto the platform, with no care for their own wellbeing.

I don't think the Chinese government wanted to show the world the J-36 and J-XDS, if they did they would be paraded down Beijing on September 3rd, evidently, the clearest images were from Citizens jumping security fences and tracking their flight paths. I rather think the Chinese government didn't think the effort of shipping the airframes out to remote airbases was worth it and the risk of some videos leaking out was calculated, but there wasn't an active motive to present them to the outside world.

This concludes my overall point of what comes out of China isn't always a government orchestrated psyop of some sort. There is no absolute control of information.

According to YouTube, there is an average of one coup in China every week, so who is controlling China's political situation now, the Martians or the Lizard?
Here 6 years and finally got off the couch? Must be important.

You've been on weibo right....?

Don't think I've ever said anything regarding a psyop. I'm not here talking shit about China or China bashing either (just in case someone reads this and gets offended). I'm just trying to describe the fact that all information on Chinese internet is information that the government has agency and ability to manipulate (as in censor or promote). There is only information that is actively released, allowed to circulate, or censored. Nothing is ever left unmoderated by accident.

Just because the government didn't announce it doesn't mean it didn't come from the government. Intelligence agencies aren't limited to doing CIA shit. There's also many different agencies in China in charge of managing what can be done with certain types of information and how to use information to achieve their goals - both domestically and abroad. It's rarely psyop level shit either. It can be something as simple as algorithmically banning certain words, phrases, images and links on the internet.

Not sure what you mean that there wasn't an active motive. Accounting for the general tone of reporting, media, and attitudes being promoted in China, releasing images (or letting images be released) of their 6th gen fighters flying before anyone else does fits well. Not everything needs a motive of it's own. If it fits the narrative it gets used. If China really didn't want people to know about it's 6th gen platforms, you won't be able to find any photos of it on weibo anymore even if they were leaked initially. To prove my point, just go and try looking up anything on Chinese social media of certain disgraced politicians, or phrases.

I don't think visible military technology is quite as high on the list of wiping clean off the internet for the the Chinese government as political slogans or movements that can sway the views of the people an incite political unrest. If that's what you are trying to say that it is allowed to exist on the Chinese web.

Now then the question we have to ask then, is the guy feeding Deino information that the 6th gen fighter was going to be powered 3 engines weeks before the first publicly released photographs and videos is actually a PLAAF plant to convince the western world that China is strong, or simply the fact that it is large and 3 engine doesn't really hold much significance over the truly sensitive technologies that cannot be visually identified? Which grants some personal insiders some breathing room to share?

Both can be true sir.

It can most definitely be aviation nerds and insiders who say shit, but what I'm trying to tell you is that while the government cannot prevent leaks, they can certainly be a lot more proactive and effective about cleaning house if they really wanted to.

The fact that you can still find said photos floating online in China should tell you all you need to know.

If I would be a really bad guy and at.the same time president of China, Ivwould have a sinisterplan. In public, I would emphasis the close relation with Russia and Putin but secretly support Ukraine and all kind of moslem rebells in Russia to create a total mess. If the situation in Russia becomes uncontolable, I would offer Asyl to Putin and promis him to make him the President if a free eastern Russia. When the situation is bad enough, he might accept. Than I would invate Russia to fight back the evel forces of the West. The target would not be to conquer whole Russia, but only enough area in eastern Russia to get acsess to gas, oil, gold, uranium and whatever lyies there under the surface. After having conquered a big part of eastern Russia, I would go into peace negotiations and freeze the conflict. Putin would become the pro former President to stay legitimate but of course without real power. So, China would have direct accsess to become self sufficient with energy and many natural reserves.

Russia is week and none its allies wouldn't fight against China...

Many people believe that Chinese people have a strong desire for land... but NEVER. *especially Siberia*
Undoubtedly, land can bring many new benefits, but in the long run, forcibly incorporating any land will bring huge troubles to China. There are many historical and institutional factors that can dispel the Chinese people's desire for conquest, but I will not delve into them further here.

As for China's stance toward Russia, Foreign Minister Wang Yi's remarks during his visit to Europe represent the official position.

That's because this aircraft needs to be tested before its public test flight and some guys did see it at that test.
Did anyone have any premonitions before it really flew up? At least based on the discussions on the forum I have browsed, there are none.

China's internet ecosystem is relatively self-contained and segmented from the global network. Consequently, Chinese individuals who actively share information abroad — particularly political discourse — are statistically more likely to be critical of the government. Which means you need to take really care when accepting those information.

I hope that whenever China is discussed, everyone can recognize this fundamental fact... China is a modern nation with established legal and institutional frameworks (both militarily and politically), not some war-torn hellscape dominated by warlords or brutal theocratic rule. ;)

Discussions about the J-36 being a tri-jet side by side seater go as far back as November 2024 on SDF nearly a month before the first images were released the day of Dec 26 2024. While even further back in the beginning of November nearly two months before the first images were shown Chinese commentators were hinting of something big happening near Christmas.

Note, this was just my sinister idea, not a prediction of what might happen. The oppertunity is there and Russia might in fact become unstable by itself. The motivation for the Ukraine war lies in historical pure ethnic Russian roots and currently mainly non Russians have to die for it. There are allready roumors about rebellions in Dagestan and Tchetchinia

Still, you can find many disputes about terretory in Asia. China is not the sole example, but lets not forgett China claims terretory Philipines, Japan, Vietnam, India, Mongolia, Russia, Malaisia (...). Not saying, that all other Asian countries are very different in this regard.

Instead of turning this into another political thread....
Why do yall come back to 2005 with me when the US and China were best friends and instead we can day dream about the absolute awesomeness a US-China alliance would mean for aviation and military hardware...

One can dream right? :D
