Here are some pictures of a scaled aircraft model at Moffett. Any information on the project?

May be affiliated with a 1983 close-coupled canard delta-wing fighter model tested at Ames. Found a paper that describes a similar design, but I do not have access to the full paper.

Found a document from a 1978 Vought study (Study of Aerodynamic Technology for VSTOL Fighter/Attack Aircraft Phase I Final Report NASA CR-152132)
