That much green suggests that they spent most of the 200 days deployed in warm water and essentially at periscope depth.

My Ohio-class never got that grungy over ~80day patrols even when we spent most of that patrol close to Hawaii.
 
Russian subs can pick up marine life too.

USN subs pick up that kind of wildlife in port...

Edit: in both senses of the phrase. Some of the creatures the guys picked up, or even married... yikes. And we also had to take fire hoses to spray the seal crap off the hull.
