I first met Bob around 1990. I worked in a local Eugene dealership and spotted a car that was in for service with a license plate that read MR P82. I waited and watched the car untill he came to pick it up, introduced myself and asked about the license plate. He explained how he had worked as a test pilot for North Amarican and really thought a lot of the P 82, hence the license plate. We talked several times and he told some really good stories of his test pilot days. Exceptionally nice gentleman.
