US Sixth Fleet what if account

Many years ago now I read a good account of the Sixth Fleet taking on the Soviet Mediterranean squadron in the 67 Arab Israel War..The Little Rock using Talos in anti ship mode.
I think it was in a paperback called something like Cold War gone hot.
Anyone read it too?

Yes it is. Which I always thought was idiotic and spoilt the book until recent events...
