US Navy unknown projects?

I search some Usnavy naval ship clasification, and found a serial of ship not build or design phased out

PCG-1 class (Patrol Chaser Missile)
PCH-1 class (Patrol Craft Hidrofoil)
PGG-1 class (Patrol Gunboat Missile)

PCG-1 was the US class designation for four Badr-class missile corvettes built in the US (Tacoma Boatbuilding) for Saudi Arabia in the early 1980s. Likewise, PGG-1 was the US class designation for nine smaller al Siddiq-class missile boats built in the US (Peterson Builders) for Saudi Arabia in the same timeframe.

PCH-1 was USS High Point, an experimental USN (and briefly USCG) hydrofoil from the 1960s/70s.

Funny, that article was written 49 years ago, and speculates mightily about the great potential of such hydrofoil vessels. Didn't exactly turn out all that great, did they?
