I have several PCs on my home LAN.
On all of them I can reach this forum using any browser (Maxthon, Firefox, Chrome), except on one machine.

On that machine I can reach the forum with Maxthon and Firefox, but with Chrome in ~90% of cases I get the error "DNS lookup failed, timeout". In 10% of cases it works normally.
It happens only for this forum, not for other sites. This machine runs XP SP3.

Anyone has met the same problem, or has an idea of how to fix it?
Thanks

Haven't run into that problem consistently. I do sometimes get the DNS error but it generally goes away after I close and relaunch the browser.

If it's persistant, you might try flushing your DNS cache in Chrome:

Thanks for this hint that I didn't know.
Still no joy though.

So - www.secretprojects.co.uk DNS record is cacheable for 30 mins only, which might make it more susceptible to break when DNS issues occur as it will need to be refreshed regularly.

Chrome may respect these settings differently to other browsers. Then, it could be a router issue affecting this one PC for example Cisco EPC3825 "IP flood detection" feature can produce these symptoms especially when the computer is compromised.
