So if you've been following the plentiful combat footage coming out in recent years, you should have seen drone footage of an AFV surprising another and gaining massive tactical advantages. Some examples includes a M113 ramming a MBT and managing to disengage afterwards in Syria. A number of BMP/Bradley getting 1st shots on an MBT, and the occasional MBT fight where one side was clearly not sure of enemy location in Ukraine.

Now there should be coordination between the drone operator and AFV on the ground, however there are disputes on centralized or organic drones, whether to communicate non-organic drones via video feed, voice comms or some digitalized combat network with arguments for different arrangements.

Looking at a engagement like this where blind fire is utilized, this should be a planned maneuver and some combat experience should be behind it:

It seems to me that organic drones is extremely simple to rig up however other command arrangements probably have been tried.

The answer to the question of organic drone operator seems to be one of interviewing the right people. Anyone have noticed anything?

Also drone AFV integrations seems to suggest fighting under smoke as an effective tactic, either via drone or higher performance sensors (radar) then those available to munitions.
