You're right! The words "polished steel" came together quite naturally, but I didn't really think about what I was writing there! Steel wouldn't be too clever for an aircraft, especially that big! Thanks for showing what a moron I can be at times (especially when I lack in sleeping time...)

Thin, very thin stainless steel honeycomb sandwich skin will work (look at the XB-70).
