I'm surprised no one else has posted a thread about this but earlier today I found out that the prolific and talented actor, Terrence Stamp, had died at the ripe old age of 87 (Older than I thought he was, I figured he was in his late 60s/early 70s). He was known for many roles he played and some of those roles that stand out are as Gen. Zoe in Superman II, Chancellor Valorum in the Phantom Menace, Bernadette Bassenger in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, and Thompson in The Adjustment Bureau.

A gentleman thespian, never less than his best, a character actor and inspiration. Treading the boards very lightly now.

I'm surprised that no one else has commented on his death as Terence Stamp was a talented actor with many acting credits to his name and he played a number memorable roles such as general Zod in Superman II.

I'd forgot that he'd been in the movie, didn't his character end up dying on Mars due to bleeding out internally from a ruptured spleen?

It has just occurred to me now that with Terence Stamp's death three of the leading actors from the film are now gone with the other two being Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore.

When I was making some coffee earlier this morning my thoughts drifted onto the Bourne Identity film series and it occurred to me that Terence Stamp would've been great appearing in any of those films, I wonder if he'd have played one of the good guys or bad guys?

Considering that Ian Fleming always hated Connery and thought David Niven typified Bond, the casting of Roger Moore was hardly a surprise.
