Technology for foot soldiers to fly?

This design might lead to more similar ideas by other militaries or might continue to evolve to become a more convenient use in the battlefields.

Engineers at the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions, working with leading Russian engineering teams, have created a manned micro-helicopter for quickly traversing minefields, water obstacles, and other hazardous terrain. According to the developers, the helicopter is intended to be an alternative to quad bikes and all-terrain vehicles. The helicopter can be assembled on-site in approximately half an hour. The micro-helicopter's simple controls are designed for operators already experienced in manually piloting FPV drones. Specifications have not yet been released.

Advantages
-30 minutes to set up mini helicopter.
-fly over minefields and rivers.
-looks cheap to mass produce.
-Faster movements across the battlefields.

Disadvantages
-more susceptible to encountering adversary foot soldiers and fpv drones which might limit it more to night operations.
-have to learn some piloting taking time.
-Height might alert SAMs

Maybe Future Improvements
-making it smaller to maybe jet pack size?
-more speed and maneuverability.
-more miniature satellite projects to have UAV operators only do the piloting for foot soldiers in military operations.

Any technology that makes troops fly over obstacles, mines and rivers is welcome here for discussion

It's not a new idea, the US Army looked at this in 1953-55 - see the de Lackner HZ-1 Aerocycle and the Hiller VZ-1 Pawnee.

As DWG says it has been done before, I think the biggest issue has always been the question of how these could be used effectively. For recce it's worse than a scout helicopter or unmanned aircraft. Maybe you could have a light infantry unit use these to hop around the battlefield but then what? Land and then assault a position without heavier support? It's more a very niche method of transport than anything else. You can't hope to be trying a direct air assault in these.
