A dictionary sized reference book on tanks and other armoured vehicles, the Taschenbuch der Panzer has been re-issued in various forms over the years.
The most recent edition (8. Ausgabe) appeared back in 2001.
A 9th edition was supposed to appear in 2018 but so far seems to have fallen victim to the same problems which delayed its sister volume on warships (Weyers Flottentaschenbuch).
Rather like the much bigger Janes ArmouredVehicles series it has line drawings and photos of all the principle designs around when the volumes appeared.
Past editions from 1990, 1985, 1976, 1969 and 1961 (roughly) still cost about 40 Pounds but are interesting for their coverage of prototypes.
