I've looked through the thread on the T-50 flight testing and did not see this information. Have the aircraft used as chase aircraft been identified? I'm asking this as part of my research for a painting idea I'm developing.

can you be little bit more specific? what exactly flight(s) of T-50 do you mean?

I'm not looking to do a specific flight. I know this attitude annoys some people but for this series I'm looking to capture impression more than any specific fact. The series will be called "Flying Chase" and the paintings will be staged with a behind the action view - placing the chase aircraft in the foreground. While I'm not looking to capture any one event, I do want to be accurate in the type or types of aircraft used as chase planes.

Examples of other paintings in the series. "Flying Chase: The Last With The First" will depict the Hurricane "Last Of The Many" flying chase with the Hawker P.1127. "Flying Chase: Valkyrie" will focus on the TB-58 and T-38 chase aircraft.

So I'd appreciate it if anyone can help me with the types used and basic coloring and markings information for the T-50 chase aircraft.

For T50-1 maiden flight it was ordinary Su-30UB with symbolic tail number '51' from Dzemgi
(5 AGP 6983rd AFB) and KnAAPO-owned Mi-8 '22154'
For T50-1 first flight at LII it was Su-24MR '40'

Uh, i don't like to "doubt" you Gregory, but what is Su-30UB? I have never heard that destination. From these pictures, i can't see the IFRP or if IRST is moved. Are you sure it isn't just a standard Su-27UB?

PS: It appears this is same plane:
