Hi,


the Sukhoi S-54 (Su-17M4N) which later redesigned as S-56 (Su-17M5) was a fixed
wing project version of Su-17,it had 45 degree of swept,can anybody imagine its
shape ?.

the same wing of Su-17,but as a fixed wing,not swing wing.

From the Midland 'OKB Sukhoi' by Yefim Gordon et.al. about the S-54N/S-56
A decision was made to return to a fixed wing design based on a new aerodynamic configuration. A new wing was designed that was fixed at the intermediate sweep (45o) of the original movable wing.
Most likely the same fuselage for the S-56 as the one on the S-54.
Su-7 had a 60o wing sweep angle.
famvburg suggestion would be close to what the S-56 would have looked like, just with a less sharply swept wing.

The export version of the S-54/Su-17M4 was the S-54K/Su-22M4. Both were identified as Fitter-K by NATO.

Yefim Gordon and his co-authors write it would have had a fixed wing.

Do you think this is accurate to the actual drawings or just a guess?

I imagined the Su-17M4n and Su-17M6 as partly synergising with the S-37 style wing (i.e. low wing-loading cranked delta in the style of the F-16XL or MiG-21I Analog). But I'm juts guessing myself.

It is accurate, it was described as effectively just fixing the VG sweep wing to its most useful position. There's a model photo in the article hesham cites.

In regards to the SU-17M5 characteristics, the fixed wing allowed extra fuel to be carried which increased range, speed wasn't really affected, range increased, and both takeoff and landings improved. Maximum G went from 7 to 8.

Let me guess, this wing is a compound/cranked swept with with 60-degree sweep for inner wing and 45-degree sweep for outer wing?
 
Also, does anyone have any info on the avionics that the Su-17M5 may have had? I know that it definitely was slated to use an AL-31F turbofan for an engine for sure.
